The cleaning solution could be dispensed as needed by pressing the trigger. To keep the cleaning solution from running down vertical surfaces, such as the back of the couch, a little effort was needed. Rather than saturating a wide area, it was easier to spray just a small amount of solution and quickly work that into the upholstery with the cleaning tool.
We were impressed with Bissell SpotBot Pet’s hands-free cleaning capabilities while using the automatic cleaning mode. The cleaning solution is dispensed from an onboard tank by a motorized, rotating brush that is adjusted to agitate carpet fibers thoroughly.
The SpotBot beeped when the deep clean cycle had finished after six minutes, and our tester was delighted to see the spot had been removed.
In the testing report, the only disadvantage described is that the machine can only clean spots about 5 to 6 inches in diameter at a time. The ketchup stain was removed in just a minute, and the soil stain was removed in just a minute and 30 seconds.
